This seminar will describe the epidemiology of aging with HIV and the implications of "growing up and growing old" with the disease and its treatment. We will discuss how molecular assays to measure epigenetic markers can be integrated into epidemiological studies to improve our understanding of the effects of HIV and antiretroviral therapy on comorbidities across the lifespan.
