Join Alexandros Ragoussis, author and senior economist at the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation, for a discussion about his latest book "Making It Big: Why Developing Countries Need More Large Firms", in which six development economists explicate how large firms are created in low- and middle-income countries and what their role is in development.
Alexandros Ragoussis is a senior economist at the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation, and an associate fellow of the German Development Institute. He has published and debated extensively on issues of foreign investment, private sector development and industrial development and advised governments around the world on their policies in these areas. Earlier in his career, Alexandros held positions at the OECD and taught economics at the University of Sydney in Australia and at Sciences-Po, Paris. Alexandros holds a PhD in economics from the University of Sydney.
