Join the Center for Research on People of Color for our second Anti-Racism Speaker Series event on February 25, 2020, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The event will feature Amadou Gaye, PhD, a Staff Scientist at the National Human Genome Research. His lecture, titled “Omics Study of Social Disadvantage in African Americans: How Adverse Conditions Get Under the Skin,” will be held virtually.
Dr. Gaye completed his PhD in Genetic Epidemiology at the University of Leicester in the UK. In 2014, Dr. Gaye started work at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is currently Staff Scientist in Gary H. Gibbons, PhD, Lab. The lab is comprised of an interdisciplinary group that investigates the effects of genetic, environmental, and social determinants on cardiovascular disease mortality and morbidity.
