Join SIPA Professor and Alum Karine Jean-Pierre for a discussion of her new book, "Moving Forward, A Story of Hope, Hard Work and the Promise of America" with Professor Ester Fuchs. Karine Jean-Pierre is a Haitian-American political campaign organizer, activist, political commentator, and lecturer in international and public affairs at Columbia University. She is the senior advisor and national spokeswoman for MoveOn.org and a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. Professor Ester R. Fuchs is Professor of International and Public Affairs and Political Science and is the Director of the Urban and Social Policy Program at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She served as Special Advisor to the Mayor for Governance and Strategic Planning under New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg from 2001 to 2005.
