The Columbia University Health Sciences Library is pleased to host author Randi Epstein on March 28 when she’ll speak about her new book, "Aroused: The History of Hormones and How They Control Just About Everything" (W.W. Norton, 2018). The last century in endocrinology has been one of huge advances as well as outrageous claims. Please join us as Epstein spotlights landmark discoveries, medical mishaps, and hormone hype – then and now. She’ll point out unsung heroes in hormone history as well as discuss the political and cultural influences that have encouraged fake science news. A reception will follow Epstein's lecture.
