Implementation Science in Public Health Programs
Course Description
The course will introduce the concept of Implementation Science (IS) and related terminologies. The course will cover IS methods and how to engage pertinent stakeholders in IS conduct. Participants will discuss case scenarios from real-world settings to understand the types of research questions that can be answered by IS and practical application of IS methodologies. The course will also cover how IS can be used to inform the design and delivery of public health programs, to improve the translation of scientific findings into standard of care, and to scale-up new interventions. Common challenges faced while conducting IS, and strategies to overcome them, will also be discussed.
