Starting a Mission-Based Organization
This session is designed to help participants navigate the creation of a mission-based organization. Topics will include how to define cause, conduct market analysis, create a mission and scope of work, and choose a structure and type of nonprofit.
Additionally, this session will address the nonprofit organizational lifecycle and provide valuable and practice advice on initial planning, strategy, and compliance while covering the incorporation process -- including how to apply for, obtain, and maintain IRS tax exempt status.

Nonprofit Management Program is launching a four-part series designed to prepare our students, alumnae, and the SPS Community to start and operate successful nonprofit organizations.
