The February Religion and Public Health Series brings together voices from different religions to share experiences related to topics of common importance. Each session will be based on the stories and experiences of faith leaders and scholars who have personal narratives that connect to these topics. The series offers a unique opportunity to hear about issues of food, menstruation, meditation from a variety of religious perspectives. Please join us as we learn together about religion and public health through the sharing of narrative and dialogue. On Monday, February 11th, Amina Darwish, Muslim Life Coordinator at Columbia University, and Ilana Choen, Research Associate at Verite, will discuss Jewish, Hindu and Muslim ideas about menstruation. This series is brought together by the Office of the University Chaplain, the Mailman School of Public Health, and the Institute for the Study of Human Rights. Light lunch will be served.
