A film screening followed by a conversation with Dr. Barbara Van Dahlen Founder and President of Give an Hour, a national nonprofit which provides free therapy to veterans and their families and creator of The Campaign to Change Direction; and Dr. Jeffrey Borenstein, CEO and President of the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, host of the PBS series Healthy Minds and an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Rishi Goyal, Emergency Room Physician and Director of the Medicine Literature and Society Major track at ICLS. Into the Light is an uplifting PBS documentary about a psychologist who, while counseling veterans with PTSD, comes to terms with her own emotional trauma and searches for her schizophrenic mother whom she has not seen in 40 years.
