Monday, November 12th, 2018 LGBTQ+ Rights in a Global Perspective A Lunchtime Talk with Pepe Julian Onziema Moderated by Professor Katherine Franke Columbia Law School Jerome Greene Hall | Room 105 12:10 pm - 1:10 pm Pepe Julian Onziema is an LGBTQ+ and Human Rights Activist from Uganda, and a 2018 Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University in the City of New York. On Monday, November 12th, Pepe will speak on his experiences as an LGBTQ+ Rights Advocate in Uganda, and will be joined in discussion by Professor Franke in considering LGBTQ+ Rights and Movements in a global context. This program is free and open to the public, and is co-supported by the Center for Gender & Sexuality Law, the Institute for the Study of Human Rights, the Human Rights Institute at Columbia Law School, and the Institute for Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality at Columbia University.
