Clinical Research Informatics Chunhua Weng, PhD, FACMI Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics Columbia University Clinical research informatics (CRI) is a young subfield in Biomedical Informatics with a special focus on using informatics and data science methods to improve the efficiency and quality of clinical and translational research. In this presentation, I’d like to describe current progress and opportunities in using electronic health records to facilitate study feasibility assessment, cohort identification, clinical phenotyping, and clinical trial recruitment. I’d also welcome a conversation with frontline clinical researchers, including investigators and coordinators, regarding difficulties in using informatics tools and unmet stakeholder needs for training and interdisciplinary collaborations, towards the design and implementation of user-centered CRI interventions at Columbia. Preferred RSVP: Janelle Nuñez, [email protected] by April 12th, 2019
