The Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research's Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) Resource announces: Getting Started with Statistical Software R. Sessions are open to all CUIMC faculty, staff, fellows and post-docs. No prior computing experience or statistical knowledge are required.
Day 1 will cover importing data, examining data attributes, and manipulating data (creating new variables, stacking vs. merging data sets, etc.).
Day 2 will cover descriptive statistics and basic statistical analyses (chi-squared tests, t-tests, regression, etc.).
Day 3 will cover data visualization using versatile R plotting functions.

Participants need to bring their own laptops with R/RStudio already installed. It is also advisable for attendees to try and attend all three sessions.
