Trencher and moderated by JERG member, Lara Langweiler. The panel will discuss current views, concerns and actions being taken both in the US and Israel on vaccines and other efforts to combat to the COVID-19 pandemic.

About the speakers for U.S. Jewish Community Perspectives on Vaccines:
John Loike, PhD
Dr. Loike serves as the senior faculty editor of the Columbia University Journal of Bioethics. His biomedical research focuses on how human white blood cells combat infections and cancer. Dr. Loike lectures internationally on emerging topics in bioethics, organizes international conferences, and has over 150 papers and abstracts published in the areas of immunology, cancer, and bioethics.
Mark Trencher
Mark is the founder of Nishma Research, which conducts Jewish communal research. Several recent studies have explored the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, including a study of attitudes toward COVID vaccination. He was previously a business executive who headed the research departments at two Fortune 200 companies, and has served in multiple communal lay leadership positions. In addition, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in operations research and statistics at three universities, and had provided continuing education for health care practitioners in areas of basic statistical analysis.
