In this workshop, Rina Pantalony, Director of Copyright Advisory Services, will interact with participants while examining issues such as data re-use, curation, aggregation, attribution and the copyright and terms of use governing such issues. Examples of terms of use in the US and in other jurisdictions will be examined as case studies. This event is part of Columbia University Library's Open Access Week event, "Opening Up Research for the Greater Good? Ethics, Privacy, and Data" and will be followed by a panel and roundtable discussion at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at 4pm.
