Each year, thousands of children are targeted by predators who use social media and other online platforms to exploit their victims. Children’s increased online presence due to COVID-19 has only heightened their risk of encountering predators on the Internet. At the same time, investigating and prosecuting online child exploitation crimes is becoming significantly more difficult due to technologies like “warrant-proof” encryption. Join us for a conversation featuring a survivor, a journalist, and members of law enforcement, who seek to draw attention to this crucial issue and to give a voice to the voiceless.
