He is a member of the editorial committee of "China Strategic Analysis", a journal published in Chinese in the United States. Under the pen name “Hibernating Bear” (Dongmian xiong), he is a widely read and influential blogger and commentator. His 2013 blogpost called “The Road of Red Empire That Cannot Be Traversed” accurately described the mentality of the Xi regime.
