Yevgenia Albats, an award-winning journalist, author, and Editor of the New Times in exile, went to Ukraine to cover the war. Being a Russian journalist and speaking Russian in a country that is defending itself from the all-out war unleashed by Russian rulers is something like being a German journalist in London in the midst of World War II.
