Join us for a conversation on accountability for domestic violence in the human rights system featuring survivor Jessica Lehanan, whose three daughters were abducted by her estranged husband and killed after the Colorado police refused to enforce a restraining order against him. We will be joined by lawyer and policymaker Caroline Bettinger-López, former White House Advisor on Violence Against Women who represented Jessica in her landmark case before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Jessica Lenahan (Gonzales) vs. United States, which advanced women’s human rights in the region and globally.
